This is especially true if your work is stress filled and you are in the middle of beating deadlines and multi tasking.  Break away, even just for a minute.  Go somewhere where you can have peace and quiet, even for just a moment and <strong>B-R-E-A-T-H-E</strong>.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Sure you may be breathing all day, all night. If you were not, you wouldn’t be stressing over your work, right?  But the thing here is, you need to intentionally feel yourself breathing.  Count to ten, feeling each breath through your nose and out through your mouth.  Choosing to leave your workstation and an outside walk would be very beneficial.  If you choose to smoke as you do it, try to break away from that.  It is not just an unhealthy habit, but you are actually subjecting your lungs to unnecessary stress, which is totally against your very intentions.</p>

Quit thinking of throwing in all the facts that you can give out to your counselee, but focus more on what the person&#8217;s problem is.  Listening is the key.  This wil spell out how the person will open up to you.  Encouragement for your counselee to discuss the problem in your own way.  Make sure that what your listener want is advice and not just a listening ear.  Otherwise, whatever it is you say will not be heard.  It will also help to evaluate yourself first, if you are equipped to help the person you are talking to.</p>

But if not, then there should be more to giving advice than just being nosey.  A lot of times, it is because of concern.   Parents advice children, while superior advice subordinates.</p>
