Fiber is Good for You

You have always been told that fibrous food are healthy.  The indigestible part  of grains, fruits and vegetables that are rich in fiber reduces your risk big time, from acquiring cancer, especially colon cancer.

How do you know that you are getting enough fiber in your diet?  Three cups of whole graine foods like breads, brown rice, oats per day.  You can also choose to have one and a half cups of legumes or five cups of fresh vegetables.

If you are trying to minimize your risk from getting cancer, avoid all kinds of sweets containing refined sugar.  Refined sugar supresses the immune system making you vulnerable to cancer.
