Is “retail therapy” really therapy? Now, that is the question. This term has been used and abused for as long as we can remember. But the question really is, if it at all works. The people who supposedly go into “retail therapy,” attests to its being effective. While it might not be bad, it can also lead to disorders like hoarding or maybe denial of where the root of the problem lies.
While it is okay to go buy and reward yourself a pair of Prada shoes. That is something you cannot go on doing on a daily basis. The therapy in “retail therapy” is but fleeting.
